An additional 20 minutes commuting per day is equivalent to a 19 per cent pay cut when it comes to measuring job satisfaction, a study has found.
Researches examined the impacts of commuting to work on the well-being of more than 26,000 employees in England over a five-year period.
They found that every extra minute of commuting time reduces both job and leisure time satisfaction, increases strain and worsens mental health.
